This morning I had an interesting conversation with Eugene Mandel, Co-Founder of MustExist, Inc.
Tell me about your background?
I studied computer science in Israel and have had a couple of key positions in some US-based start-ups. I was co-founder of a social mobile startup Jaxtr and our claim to fame was a viral acquisition engine. We had grown to over 10 million users in just 7 months resulting in a successful acquisition by Sabse Technologies. Shortly after Alex Sherstinsky and I founded MustExist, Inc.
What is MustExist? What Void do you fill in the Market?
We help online community managers feed the beast of their social media properties. Online community managers spend a considerable amount of time curating content to post on their various social media outlets. MustExist identifies the Mavens on each topic on Twitter and uses their activities to find the best stories on that topic early. For social media community managers, it is important to find stories with social proof (will become popular) and find them early. The online community manager should be the thought leader. Often they have anxiety about being out of touch. In addition, many have the job thrown at them without knowing how to find the right resources without it being a 24/7 job.
So what is your proposed solution?
We are working on a product called MavenFeed. Moreover, what MavenFeed does is the online community manager will select topics that tie into their brand and they will see a digest of recommendations. The online community manager will then be able to schedule shareable and relevant content through their social media and mobile marketing properties.
The two ways the measure the ROI are:
1) Time savings – the online community manager can spend their on engagement
2) Relevant and efficient content is being shared
